Equipment leasing

Buying a crane for a six-month project is rarely the right call. But hiring has its own trap: the machine arrives without a certified operator, or it breaks down mid-job and the hire company has nothing to replace it with.

What usually goes wrong

Capital tied up in short-term need
Money sits in an asset used for a few months, along with maintenance, yard space and depreciation for all the time it is idle.
A machine without an operator
Lifting equipment requires a certified operator. Hiring bare and finding your own is both a safety and a compliance risk.
A breakdown with no replacement
Small hire companies typically hold one machine of each type. A breakdown means work stops until it is repaired.

How we run it

Match the machine to the job, not to what is idle

Capacity, reach and real ground conditions established before anything is proposed, so the machine does not arrive unable to do the work.

Why businesses trust Bee Transportation

A full range of equipment
Tractors and 20ft/40ft/45ft container trailers, low-bed trailers, forklifts from 2.5 to 25 tonnes, wheeled and crawler cranes, pilot vehicles.
Part of a fleet of 120+ units
A fleet that size can put a replacement in place when a machine goes down, instead of leaving the site waiting.
The rest of the chain is already there
When the job grows to include transport, lifting or storage, there is no new contractor to find and contract with.

Frequently asked questions

Does the hire rate include an operator?
Lifting equipment is hired with a certified operator as standard rather than as an option, for safety and compliance reasons. Fuel and mobilisation to site are quoted separately according to distance.
What is the minimum hire period?
Hire is available by the hour, by the trip or by the month. On short jobs, moving the equipment in and out is usually the larger part of the cost, so grouping tasks into one visit is more economical.
What happens if the machine breaks down mid-job?
We arrange a replacement from within our own fleet. This is why fleet size matters in hire — a company with one machine of each type cannot commit to it.
